About Me:
I am a self taught artist where my artist journey began during lockdown, when I discovered a passion for creating that has completely changed my life and direction. What started as a creative escape soon became a calling. I have lived my entire life in Doncaster.
Today I teach relaxed and welcoming sip-and-paint sessions in coffee shops and private settings, helping people of all abilities discover the joy and confidence that art can bring. As an Art Therapist I also believe deeply in the healing power of creative and the positive impact it can have on wellbeing.
My husband wrote me a song called “Quiet Grace” ! Away from my easel. I am a quiet, happy person who values family and simple pleasures. I am married to a great supportive husband who wrote a beautiful song called Quiet Grace for my 55th birthday. I have a daughter and I share our home with Luna our much loved German Shepard and two cats Gracie and Tia, who are never far from my side while I’m painting.
Outside my art, I have a real love for fashion, styling and photography. I’ve always taken pride in my appearance and I believe that wearing something flattering and beautiful can lift your confidence and brighten a mood and day. While I dont follow every fashion trend, I enjoy choosing timeless pieces that makes me feel special and reflect who I am. I also love creating beautiful photographs and appreciate how colour, light and composition can tell a story, much like a painting it can tell a fantastic story.This relates strongly to my chosen profession in art.
My naturally curly hair has always been my pride and my favourite feature. I have learnt to embrace it is a part of who I am.
I believe beauty can be found in everyday moments – in a treasured pet, favourite outfit, a peaceful afternoon painting or a simple act of kindness. My hope is to always leave people feeling inspired and confident and a little happier that when they arrived! I hope this gives you an idea of the warm and gentle person I am.
