Character Description
Mary is emotionally aware, introspective, and deeply connected to people beyond surface-level interaction. She sees humanity in others where Simon only sees routine, distance, and transaction. Her perspective challenges Simon’s cynical worldview and forces him to confront the emotional detachment he has normalized for years. Mary functions as both a real person and a psychological reflection of the humanity Simon has spent his life ignoring.
