About Me:
I started out as a professional footballer with Bristol City in the 1980s, but a leg break changed my path and steered me into Non-League football. I went on to play for clubs like Bath City and Cambridge City—all while earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Before football took over, I was an opening bowler for Somerset U18s, but cricket just didn’t move fast enough for me.

At university, I discovered rugby and fell in love with the game. I kept playing well into my late 40s before finally swapping muddy pitches for the golf course. I now play off a handicap of 8. The sporting tradition clearly continues—my son is a professional golfer, and watching him compete has been a joy.

Away from sport, I’ve been married for 32 years. We have four grown-up children, two grandchildren, and one more on the way. I originate from South Shields (a Geordie) but we now live in Bradford on Avon, just outside Bath, where I still run several engineering-based businesses.

I’m always looking for something new to try. Lately, that’s included cooking (fresh pasta and Italian classics are a hit), sewing (I’ve made a bucket hat!), photography, and upholstery. My next project? Making my daughter a dress she won’t pretend to like.

In quieter moments, I’m writing a comedy screenplay inspired by the unforgettable characters I’ve met through decades of sport. I am coming late into the modelling but want to experience the industry and see where it can take me.
