About Me:
My name is Shameemah Ama Tanagidah, and I am 17 years old. I was born and raised in Lewisham, South-East London, although my family background is Ghanaian and Gambian. Growing up in such a vibrant and diverse environment has shaped my outlook and inspired my appreciation for creativity, self-expression, and individuality.
I first became interested in modelling because of my deep passion for fashion. From a young age, I enjoyed exploring styles, trends, and creative looks that allowed me to express myself. What truly pushed me to pursue modelling seriously, however, was the encouragement I received from people around me who recognised potential in me. Their support motivated me to take the first steps towards something I had admired from a distance but never actively pursued.
Beyond fashion and modelling, I enjoy photography and the creative arts, which I believe complement each other by giving me an eye for detail, presentation, and storytelling through imagery. I also have a passion for singing and dancing, which allow me to express myself in other artistic forms and help me bring energy and rhythm into my movement. In addition, I play basketball, which has taught me discipline, teamwork, and resilience—qualities I carry into every aspect of my life.
For me, modelling is not only about wearing clothes but about bringing them to life, embodying different moods, and connecting with an audience through expression and movement. I am enthusiastic, committed, and excited to continue developing my skills. I see modelling as both a career path and a creative journey that will allow me to collaborate with others, keep learning, and showcase my individuality while being part of something bigger.
