About Me:
My name is Rana Ozbek and I am 11 years old. Since I was 4 I have attended musical theatre classes and performed in many shows. As well as local shows I have performed in professional musical shows and pantomimes. Recently I played Young Fiona in the junior production of Shrek where I sang a solo with a live orchestra, In March of this year I was cast as the main role in Matilda the Musical JR, and I have since been nominated for a NODA award for this role.
Locally I perform in ‘Kynren – An Epic Tale of England’. This is a huge outdoor show which runs each summer and this is my 3rs year, there is an audience each time of about 4000.
I am bilingual in English and Turkish and a confident swimmer as well.
I am very polite and well-mannered and follow directions well. I enjoy playing various roles as this gives me the opportunity to try different things.
In order for me to grow as a professional I have taken up dance classes as well as musical theatre, This is giving me experience in ballet, tap, modern and lyrical dancing and I hope to start taking exams as well.
Outside of theatre, I love engaging with friends, reading and music concerts. I enjoy all the different backgrounds of music. History is my favorite subject and I love reading about Anne Frank and exploring castles and medieval History.
