Nairobi Thompson

About Me:
I am a hardworking, reliable and fun individual. I write professionally and perform poetry, I have written and performed in plays, along with singing in a community choir that just recently made it to the UK BGT finals – we are the first to do so.

I love walking and taking in the scenery, being by the sea and waterways; barbecues and picnics, and I am first on the dance floor when the beat is right, and the vibe is soulful.

I am a qualified learning and development specialist, coach and mentor, and I work with groups/individuals to develop their leadership skills and personal power. I am currently doing a social sciences research PhD – which means I’ll be Dr Thompson very soon. This is a huge achievement for someone who was written off by the education system as in need of remedial learning and someone who only has the potential to work in a factory. I never stop learning or achieving. I give back to the community by running workshops to inspire and empower others. The trials I have overcome and the good I do, is the legacy I leave.

I enjoy engaging with others, learning from others and broadening my world view. I’m a whizz in the kitchen, cooking up family favourites and fusion cultural dishes. My house is the party house. I enjoy hosting and making people feel at their ease and leaving with full bellies.
