About Me:
I am an enthusiastic, creative person who always puts 110% into every opportunity that I encounter. Love life and living it large. Bright colours in my wardrobe reflect my personality.
I love working with people, and projecting the correct image has featured in all my careers.
I have experience working in retail in various companies, selling on the shop floor for an in retail management position (i.e. Avon, Laura Ashley, Sainsburys, John Lewis) and personnel management and recruitment for John Lewis.
I have catering and hospitality experience, including pub work and running restaurant facilities for John Lewis.
I love to work with children, too. Spending 15 years as a childminder and about the same time as a passionate, rather zany science teacher. I have an enhanced DBS to work with children.
My hobbies are all based on creative activities. I make clothes, seasonal crafts and soft furnishings. I am wild about nature, gardening, and my allotment. I have renovated houses and all aspects of DIY. I am an amateur painter; my favourite mediums are watercolour and acrylic. I am a great cook, and specialise in perfecting gluten-free meals, which is my diet and as such, you would not know they were gluten-free.
I enjoy public speaking, happy to talk at conferences, or 1-1. Putting these skills to good use when I was the president of a Local Rotary club. As a Rotarian I am involved with many charitable causes and voluntary activities.
To keep fit, I do yoga, pilates, aqua aerobics and go to the gym regularly. Looking after myself through a good diet and natural supplements.
Global travel to see family has given me a great opportunity to experience different cultures first-hand. I am even learning Japanese to be able to communicate with my Japanese grandchildren.
