About Me:
Hi, my name is Joanne, I am 31 years old. I am a singing, keyboard and guitar tutor privately in Dundee and employed by YMCA Glenrothes supporting underprivileged young people.
I have a popular music degree, so have a good understanding of music theory as well as my ability to play multiple instruments.
During my third year during covid (2021) I discovered to have thyroid cancer which could have affected my vocals. Thankfully hasn’t! So it’s a miracle that not only can I teach but can also showcase singing correctly to my students.
Being raised in a christian home, gave me some form of comfort and strength as I was going through this distressful time in my life.
I am in a big band Thursday evenings as a vocalist. I enjoy open mics and karaoke nights with my friends.
I enjoy going for walks with my fiancé along the beach or in country parks, this is good for my mental health.
I have 3 brothers and growing up we all played ice hockey together; our Dad was our coach. I was inevitably a tomboy growing up, and as I got older I started taking other interests, besides music; swimming, modelling and dancing, albeit in seasons.
