About Me:
I joined the WRAF at 19 and enjoyed 6 years, with postings both in the UK and in Germany.
The rest of my working life was spent in The Ministry of Defence in London until I was made redundant in 2019. I now work part-time every day as a receptionist at a healthcare company in Manchester.
I took up Ceroc (a type of modern jive partner dancing) 15 years ago and have loved it ever since. My friends and I go at least twice a week. The ladies love dressing up and also go on weekends of dancing too.
10 years ago I joined a choir to perform a one-off performance to commemorate the 100th anniversary of WW1. It was a very emotional tribute, performed live outside the BBC in Manchester. I carried on from there and am now in a local community choir in Bury.
I love reading and get totally lost in whatever I am reading.
My friends and I go out for afternoon tea and lunches, and always have fun.
For the past year, I have attended a local gym 3 times a week to keep me trim.
In conclusion, I would say I am a confident, independent older lady who knows how to have fun.
