About Me:
My name is Caren. I am a married woman and live in Melksham, Wiltshire. I have spent 22 years traveling with my husband, supporting his career in the armed forces. I have 2 adopted sons who were ages 6 and 8 when they arrived and are now 24 and 22. They no longer live at home, but we are still a strong family unit. My current job is working for Wiltshire County Council as a Shared Lives Officer. This is where we have adults living within our home with learning difficulties. We have a little Cavapoo named Teddy who rules the roost lol. I believe my job role has made me very resilient and able to deal with and manage stressful days with a calm approach. I enjoy going out with family and friends, traveling to new places, walking along the canal with the dog, and I’ve recently joined a gym, so I am enjoying learning to lift weights. A close family member was very recently diagnosed with cancer, and we are dealing with it together. This has made me think about my own life and pushed me to do something totally different from anything I have ever done. I am a great team player but also can manage my own schedule and workload. I am easy to get along with as I strongly believe in the saying ‘treat others as you would like to be treated’.
