About Me:
I was born in South Africa and matriculated at a private boarding school. (the equivalent of UK GCSE) After school I was conscripted into the army for a year, attaining officer rank. Prior to embarking on tertiary studies, I spent a glorious gap year in The UK and France. I entered university and graduated in Computer Science. I gained employment with a UK-based IT company working in sales/marketing dealing mainly with mining companies. During this time I spent approximately 2 months every year at the company’s Head Office in London overseeing overseas client visits. During my corporate career, I was featured in the company’s advertising/promotional material on a number of occasions. I have participated in a number of TV interviews and have given countless presentations. I’ve had the opportunity to do business on three continents. I pride myself on having the common though and I’m comfortable dealing with people from different backgrounds.
I have two adult sons, both married, following their respective careers. I like to believe that I have instilled a strong work ethic in them. I feel pretty blessed.
