About Me:
Mature modelling has become part of my unexpected new life path, and this is my journey.
Fashion has been a passion of mine since I was young. I didn’t have much as a child, but the one thing I did have was my only doll. I made clothes and bags for her, inspired by the character ‘Minnie Mouse’. They were really well made, and I was surprised by my own talent. I used to tell myself that I would become a fashion designer when I grew up.
Unfortunately, nobody took me seriously, so I stopped talking about it and tried to do something about it instead. I successfully completed a degree in Footwear and Design — yes, I can make shoes and bags.
My parents wanted me to become a doctor or a lawyer. As a C-grade student, I didn’t believe I was intelligent enough, and I wasn’t interested anyway. I knew I was a creative person at heart. As a result, I struggled to find my niche and instead pursued the one thing I loved most at the time: dancing. I became a professional dancer and toured Europe for many years.
Eventually, I dragged myself away from that industry. Without social media, networking was an enormous challenge. I told myself it was time to take life seriously, so I trained as a Residential Social Worker and later became a teacher — two incredibly rewarding roles.
Having changed so many lives for the better, I realised I loved inspiring people and was good at it.
Then came two strokes, followed by retirement from teaching. I have now decided to live life for myself and no one else.
This inspiration came after I left a karmic, toxic relationship that nearly broke me. Fortunately, I managed to turn things around. Through focusing on valuing, loving, and respecting myself, I feel like a reborn person.
I want to inspire other mature women to value themselves too and to know they can overcome anything. I am interested in exploring my inner beauty and showing others that you can do this at any age. From my experiences, I have learned that beauty lies within — and once you truly know that, you can say yes to anything.
