About Me:
I’m Jean-Paul Chapman, born in London and originally from Marlow, I am now based in Bembridge & Ryde on the Isle of Wight. I’m an outgoing, confident and approachable person with more than 35 years’ experience across hospitality, live entertainment, festivals and international music tour management.
Throughout my career, I have worked largely on the other side of the camera, organising events, managing people and helping to create memorable experiences for audiences. My work has taken me around the world and brought me into contact with people from every background. It has taught me to communicate naturally, remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to new people, places and situations.
I remain actively involved in hospitality and entertainment while making more time to enjoy travel, food and new experiences. Each week, I host a lively comedy-style pub quiz for audiences ranging from around 100 to 400 people. It requires confidence, timing, improvisation and the ability to hold a room, but it is also tremendous fun.
Away from work, I’m passionate about travelling, discovering new places, cooking and entertaining friends and family. I take great pleasure in creating occasions that bring people together and make them smile. I’m equally comfortable dressing formally, appearing in a relaxed lifestyle setting or taking on a natural, characterful role.
I’m now keen to bring my personality, life experience and confidence to modelling, television, film and commercial work. I’m reliable, professional, comfortable meeting new people and excited to step into the creative industries from a new perspective.
