About Me:
I have a very ‘blue sky’ approach to life and try to see the humour, kindness and good in what I do.
For forty-five years I was a teacher, starting off teaching PE, music and drama in secondary; the last twenty as assistant head in a local primary school responsible for the curriculum, particularly French and the arts; singing, dancing and acting with the children and giving them as many opportunities to become expressive, happy, confident people. During this time, I also became Mum to four handsome, talented sons, and worked for an OU degree and almost completed a ‘Masters’.
My new chapter has now begun, and I am absolutely loving life. I have five incredible, and of course, beautiful, grandchildren, 1-6 years, who get me bouncing on the trampoline, acting out stories or rolling and dancing around. Three are bilingual so I am learning Italian and get to travel to Italy frequently.
Singing is still a passion and I am a member of a weekly Rock Choir, but my singing and dancing is mostly in the kitchen, to live bands, or to KPop with the girls. I belong to Meetup, where adults meet at a multitude of events: quizzes, bands, the theatre, walks and even holidays.
I love to travel, and have family in the US who I try to see as much as I can. In the last year I have experienced Marrakesh, Italy, the USA, Antwerp (on a very bouncy cruise) and Lapland (where I drove a skimobile, gazed in awe and wonder at the Northern Lights and sledged on a plastic sledge).
In 2018 I did a tandem skydive for MS and in June I am abseiling down the 400’ Northampton lift tower for a local hospice. In quiet times I knit, read, play the piano and walk my dogs. I recently started Pickleball which I love.
I was amazed how much I thoroughly enjoyed my time in front of the camera and would love the opportunity to try this again. It was such a boost and so much fun.
