About Me:
I’m 55, single, socially active with a great circle of friends, love travelling, weekends away, holidays in Europe, playing sport, walking in the hills. By profession I’m a qualified chartered accountant, working as a freelance finance manager for 3 clients. In my spare time I play crown green bowls (it’s not just a sport for old people!) and am captain of my team. I’m also treasurer of my local running club.
I have always enjoyed having my photo taken, and am a real perfectionist when it comes to what goes on my social media, and am my own worst critic of my own selfies! Friends have often said that I am photogenic and I carry myself with confidence and presence, but I’d never really thought about becoming a model before, until I saw an advert for New Idol Models on my Facebook feed a few weeks ago. I thought “why not give it a go”, clicked on the link, and went for a photo shoot which I thoroughly enjoyed, having my make-up done, and posing in front of the camera for an hour. I particularly enjoyed taking direction from the photographer, replicating the poses that she asked me to strike, and seeing her reaction when she got a good shot – I felt very much at home in the studio and would like a lot more experiences like that.
Fashion-wise, I have a good sense of what does and doesn’t suit me, both colours and styles – I can usually tell just by looking at something on the rail whether it would work on me. One of my favourite pastimes that I like to do with my friends is going out for a day ransacking the charity shops – I’ve found some real gems over the years!
