About Me:
Born and bread in the Irish Republic, educated in England. I speak with an educated upperclass English accent – Kings English as it used to be called. Irish accent was trained out because in the 1970’s the Irish accent was not at all popular in the UK.
I’m 6ft tall of slim to medium build. For an “old git” I consider my self fit by taking regular exercise; ballroom and latin dancing, Argentine tango, swimming and hiking in the Lake District. Ive always worked in customer facing roles so am good with people both as a team member and with customers. I think most people would say I have a cheeky and sometime irreverent sense of humour and an engaging way of interacting with people. I’ve been told by many people that I have a very expressive and “funny” face and a beautiful voice!!!
I am retired but keep myself busy by helping out at the local theatre, which I love and at three local schools, a high school, a 6th form college and a Further Education College. I absolutely love the interaction with young people some of whom are from very deprived backgrounds, and I like to think that in my way I can make a difference to their lives however big or small that difference might be. These jobs are all part time and it is my choice when and how often I work
