About Me:
I am an energetic, organised and creative person who loves to live in the city and experience what it has to offer. I am divorced and living alone in southwest London with my tuxedo cat. I enjoy watching challenging, exciting or arty and foreign movies and TV series as well as going to concerts both classical and modern and I play the piano. Having really enjoyed travelling in my 20’s, I studied French, German and Italian at university (I understand but don’t speak these really) and speak Portuguese reasonably well after having lived in Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro. I did work for a few years in the film and TV industry, both in the office and on location and thoroughly enjoyed this. However, having worked for years doing administration and accounts, I really need to try a different and more varied working experience.
As a young girl I was absolutely infatuated with the whole look of the 60’s hair, make-up, exciting clothes and crazy glasses -Twiggy and Mary Quant etc. This inspired me to try to push my look towards being off-the-wall, edgy and a bit shocking for those around me. Needless to say I was one of those who dispatched her bra and wore the widest possible bell-bottoms in the 70’s!
Being from Cape Town originally, I returned to London from there last April, after going back to SA to live next to and look after my 90+ year old parents who had become very frail. Having dealt with their estates, I returned to London where I feel more at home and have friends and family.
I am really excited about and looking forward to this new challenge, working in a creative environment and meeting people from all walks of life.
