I consider myself a people person and a proud advocate for age positivity. With experience and maturity comes greater confidence, emotional depth, and the ability to express a wide range of personalities and moods. I believe aging is not something to be hidden but embraced—and I’m passionate about encouraging others to do the same.
My background includes over 20 years of volunteering in the arts, where I worked backstage in a local theatre group. I assisted with costume changes, makeup, hairstyling, and wig preparation—all while running my own hairdressing business. I loved the energy and camaraderie of the theatre and being part of something creative and dynamic.
I have also spoken on television and in the media, both as a representative of organisations where I served on the Board of Trustees and as a public speaker for my local council. These opportunities have given me the comfort and confidence to perform in front of an audience and under pressure.
Outside of work, I am a devoted family person. I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, and staying active in my community.
