About Me:
My passion for playing the guitar in my teens led me to play in bands and teach music. Initially, I was self-taught, and although I studied classical guitar with various teachers and attended masterclasses with many famous players, including Barney Kessel, most of my learning was experiential and playing concerts across London and the south-east. I have taught many who have achieved great success in the arts and music industry throughout my teaching profession. To name a few, guitarist Ben Thomas who now plays for Adele and Sam Smith, and the actor Alex Tomkins who is currently playing the lead part of Dewey in the School of Rock in the West End.
I observed and interviewed artists to find how they think and achieve their goals, which I am now using in a podcast entitled “Creative”, which is available on iTunes.
My interests include walking, reading, history, foraging, running a podcast, spending time with family. I am interested in the history of religion and folk magic traditions in Europe. I am also a keen chess player and songwriter.
I am a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).This series of techniques explain how the mind stores information on how one can make changes psychologically. NLP is used in sports science and personal development work, particularly in business and finance.I have found these techniques instrumental in encouraging people to play music, unlocking their skills and is a communication asset.
