About Me:
Energetic! I think that is possibly the best way to describe myself. At the age of 73, I still work 12-hour shifts for the NHS, which at times can be pretty hard going. However, I love to chat with people and learn all about them. I have been a widow for 17 years now, so when I go away, it’s usually on my own. I was banned from going with my grandsons because I used to get them out of bed in the morning!

Family… I have 2 sons, 5 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. My family is great, and I am so proud of what they are achieving academically.

Career… After leaving school, I became a telephonist, and one day the BBC was filming at the company I was working for. They heard my voice and offered me a job, but unfortunately, as I was only 18, my father was not happy for me to go to London on my own, so that was the end of that! Later, after having my sons, I worked for the NHS, as I previously said, as a nurse and midwife. It took me years of study, as I didn’t have one qualification to my name, but I achieved my goal. I felt the same determination when asked to compile a portfolio a few weeks ago, not knowing what was ahead of me, but again, a challenge I was going to fulfil. I am very excited about what lies ahead, and I am happy to be moulded into whatever I am offered, whether it’s modelling or acting.

Hobbies… I love my garden! It is so refreshing to go into the open air after working in a hospital, and I have to boast that it is “stunning” — so much so that my neighbour asked if I was having an open day with cream teas.

I am a bubbly, cheery person, but there is so much more to say, and it would take more than 200 words! I do hope this gives you some insight into what I am determined to do and achieve.
