By trade, I am a carpenter and builder. I have been self-employed, running my own business for 40 years, so I fully appreciate the need for efficiency in any industry.
I am also a qualified Yachtmaster (Coastal) Skipper.
My hobbies include hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and relaxing at the beach.
Oh yeah, I competed in three national karate championships (and got my ass kicked).
I occasionally volunteer, utilizing my construction skills.
I am now single, and my time is my own. Being self-employed allows me to manage my own schedule.
I’m just as comfortable at a roadside food truck as I am in a Michelin-starred restaurant.
I know a lot and know nothing in equal measure. Despite what I write, I am humble, down-to-earth, and a people person.
My professional life has always been about being a team player—it’s second nature to me. Nothing is achieved without skill and cooperation. I have led teams on multi-million-pound projects and have also swept the floor and made the tea.
