About Me:
I am delighted to join your agency at the mature age of 72 and continue making my dreams come true.
Born and educated in socialist Poland, I studied linguistics and modern languages at the university level. I always believed that to truly understand a place, one must experience it firsthand. This belief led me to travel to England 50 years ago to master my English—and I am still here, having lived a life full of adventures I never thought possible.
I now live in Royston, a historic town in Hertfordshire, England, with my 40-year-old daughter Emma, who has Down syndrome. Emma is an artist whose paintings have been exhibited at the Tate Modern in London. A few years ago, I directed a documentary, The Sky Is the Limit, to celebrate her life’s achievements. We submitted the film to many international festivals and have won 55 awards so far, from Hawaii to Dubai and Bhutan—and counting!
I am a retired speech and language therapist, having graduated from the University of London. I also have experience in the film industry, where I’ve worked as an extra (e.g., Call the Midwife), a walk-on (e.g., Silent Witness), and even in a character role (Anna Karenina), in addition to attending TV audience tapings.
With more free time on my hands, I want to focus on my personal interests. The past few decades have been busy, filled with ups and downs, positives and negatives, but always educational and enriching. My exposure to various nationalities and cultures—from Poland, the UK, Spain, New Zealand, and Argentina—has helped me develop effective communication skills with people from diverse backgrounds, allowing me to adapt to different paces of life. I am fluent in Polish (my native language), English (my second), and Spanish (specifically the South American variant).
