About Me:
I am a 47-year-old kind and enthusiastic person who lives in Cambridgeshire. I have brought up four children single-handedly since 2010 during which time I also completed an additional degree so that I could change careers from a Registered Nurse to a Primary School Teacher. I am very reliable and committed to everything I choose to do. My life choices both professionally and as a mother have given me a lot of experience and practice at being able to work effectively with new people in a relaxed but also efficient manner. Nobody comes to work for a bad time, do they? I am good at putting people around me at ease so that we can all have a positive experience.

My favourite job as a nurse was in a very busy Day Surgery Unit. Each day was different and exciting, and I remained there for seven years. My teaching career started during the COVID year when I had to quickly adapt from standard classroom teaching to learning how to record and produce video lessons, as well as ensuring my class and their family were keeping safe and healthy both physically and mentally. On top of these additional roles, I worked in a school with a small ‘bubble’ of vulnerable children, and Key Workers. It was quite a start to my career! After five years of teaching, I decided it was time to alter my role and have been very fortunate to side-step into the world of Special Educational Needs as a SENCo in a local nursery. Although this is a leadership position, it is part-time, very flexible and allows me to work remotely most of the time.

Now that my children are older and I’m working fewer hours I have time to have adventures of my choosing. I had an amazing summer where I was able to volunteer at two music festivals. I even got interviewed as a Pixie at one of them which involved repeating what I had just done so that I could be filmed from different angles. I loved that experience and felt very at ease during the process. I thrive during new experiences and thoroughly enjoyed myself during my recent test shoot. I hope that modelling will be a successful career for me and look forward to meeting you very soon.
