Having grown up in a predominantly white community my whole life, I have never felt confident in myself or seen myself as “pretty”. Moving to London for university has not only allowed me to grow in confidence but see that there are so many definitions of beauty. It is not down to distinct features as skin colour, it is the uniqueness in all of us and the way we carry ourselves. My goal is to represent my indian community as I know when I was younger, seeing people like me doing what they love really would have helped me.
Although it is only recently that I have seen myself in a way that has allowed me to pursue modelling, it is something that I have always wished to do. By combining academia with extracurricular activities, I maintain a balanced lifestyle and this has allowed me to develop excellent time-management skills. I volunteer at a hospice which allows me to develop my communication and listening skills. Therefore, I am able to take direction and guidance very well.
I am a determined, dependable and diligent individual and take guidance very well as I am continuously wanting to learn and improve. I will give every job my all and am very open to experiencing new opportunities.
