About Me:
I am married to Deana, who is a former professional dancer who now works as a choreographer and adjudicator for dance competitions. Deana has also undertaken modelling and Extras work.
I have a daughter and son, both grown up, and four grandchildren.
I have enjoyed every minute of my broad career that has encompassed education, sport, health and wellbeing and performance coaching:
9 years teaching:1974 – 1983
6 years Sports Development: 1983 – 1989
20 years football coaching at a high level nationally and internationally.: 1976 – 1998
10 years at adidas in UK and Global football roles (I scouted and signed David Beckham and Paul Gascoigne among others). 1989 – 1999.
Since leaving adidas, I have founded and been Director of three companies:
Evolve, an award-winning social enterprise supporting disadvantaged children, growing up in challenging circumstance, to perform better at school and beyond.
Evolve Education, a training provider.
Footballing Brains, bringing a new dimension to football performance through a focus on brain health and cognitive function.
I have two Bachelor of Education degrees (1973, 2024), and an MSc degree (2018), but could not be described as “Academic” in any way.
I am a very fit and sports-oriented individual who looks much younger than my age.
I am always keen to experience new opportunities, and this has led me to look at work as an extra in TV and films. This subsequently led to the Choice contacting me with the opportunity to undertake modelling work. I am keen to learn and understand the requirements of both areas.
I am a personable and friendly individual who communicates well.
I listen with focus and respond well to direction.
I am enthusiastic, reliable and disciplined.
I am very well-travelled and embrace opportunities to travel through work or in my own time.
