About Me:
I am a retiree now for the last couple of years but before that I was a Director of Clinical Services for a private healthcare company. For over 40 years I worked with and for the NHS and remain a passionate nurse and NHS advocate. My clinical speciality is bowel and urology – not the most glamorous I know but the body is a wonderful machine and nothing much makes me embarrassed or fearful, and I love the speciality and the patients I helped care for.
In my personal life, I have been married to Malcolm for nearly 45 years – and that sounds impossible on paper but it is true!
I have a Stepdaughter and a Son – both married – and they live quite a way from us, but we try to get together when we can. Awaiting grandbabies from my Son still!
For the last 8 years, I have tried my hand at Supporting Artiste roles and been lucky enough to see and learn a little about the production side of TV and Film. This has been really interesting and I hope to continue to do a little work in this way in the future.
I am an eternal optimist who loves life and people and am enjoying more travel in retirement. I travel with my Husband, with Friends and with the children still from time to time, but they are both working full time, so it is harder for them.
Hobbies I enjoy are dancing and Pilates to keep me fit for the foreseeable, and I do these activities three times a week and walk 3 miles in the mornings Monday to Friday with some female friends – which truth be told is more about the gossip than the fitness!
