About Me:
I am a Black British male in his 60s with a proud West African and Yorkshire heritage. In my formative years, I was brought up by two lovely foster parents in a typical English farming village just outside Sheffield called Dungworth. During those first 10 years, I experienced the full farming calendar of activities as part of the community and learned to respect and be grateful for our wildlife and environment. In my teenage years, I aspired to be an Aircraft Design Engineer and also had a passion for sport (Basketball in particular) and stage performance. I excelled in all three areas and focused on Engineering, which became my career for 15 years in the Aerospace industry. As a Senior Engineer, I used to go into Schools/Colleges and give talks to Students about Business and Engineering careers. This led to a 30-year career in Human Resource Management, supporting Apprentice and Graduate Engineers’ development and then collaborating with senior business leaders to deliver great products and services. The passion for performing has never left me, and singing to people and helping them enjoy life has run in parallel. I have a wife, three adult children, one grandchild, and a dog that helps keep me fit! In recent times, I have lost friends and family, which has prompted a rethink of what’s important in life. I now have the opportunity to take on the role of a ‘Model’ and be the best I can be, flying the flag for the ‘mature demographic’ marketplace of fashion, retail, and/or other media, as well as being a vocal entertainer. I want to continue to be in the right environment to “help people be and/or feel better than they did ‘yesterday’!” which is something I’ve done for the majority of my life and have found to be a rewarding endeavor. Today, it’s time to embrace it 100%, for tomorrow may not happen.
