About Me:
This turns me into something of a Jekyll and Hyde character.
When it comes to promoting myself, whether face-to-face or in writing, I can be somewhat reticent, even shy. But put me in front of an audience or a camera, and I transform into the life and soul of the party. It drives my wife mad.

For the past forty years, I’ve worked in the events and entertainment industry, professionally involved in just about everything from circus to Shakespeare.
For the last twenty years, I’ve also served as a Toastmaster at a wide range of occasions, from weddings to formal dinners with the Lord Mayor of London at the Guildhall. My work has taken me from village halls to palaces. I specialise in Indian weddings and am recognised across the UK as one of the leading Indian wedding Toastmasters. This role has made me something of an expert in etiquette and cross-cultural events.

Beyond that, I hold a full driver’s license and an advanced motorcyclist’s qualification. I’ve also worked as a host and compère for events ranging from fundraising balls to black-tie dinners.

I’m an accomplished horseman, with experience in various riding styles, including western and European—and have even jousted in the past (remember what I said about being involved in just about everything?).

On the personal side: I’m happily married, over forty years now and we have a son who lives in Kendal. No grandchildren yet, but we’re ever hopeful. If you know someone lovely who fancies life in the Lake District, do get in touch, we’re always open to matchmaking!

By nature, I’m gregarious and fun-loving. I’ve also been told I’m flexible, reliable, professional, and a good laugh but I couldn’t possibly comment. I’ll leave that for others to decide.
