Désiré N. Winner

About Me:
I was born and raised in Kinshasa (the Democratic Republic of Congo) and relocated to the UK at the age of 23. I started singing at the age of 8, began writing songs at 14, and joined the choir at 20. Influenced by the music of Phil Collins and Michael Jackson at a young age, but with a strong Christian background, I was led to start a solo career as a recording Gospel artist in 2011 in Manchester, where I recorded my first album, You Are My Lord, which featured seven tracks, including the hit single I Cannot Do Without You. In 2021, I released my second album, Destiny, with 12 tracks, followed by my third album in January 2024, Holy Spirit: The Best of Désiré N. Winner, featuring 18 tracks.

Growing up, I also had a passion for acting, influenced by Jean-Claude Van Damme and Denzel Washington. With that same passion, I studied GCSE Drama and Performing Arts in college, and participated in a couple of private acting schools in Leeds and Manchester, in addition to doing extra work in films after completing a foundation degree in Popular Music and Performance. I believe modelling and acting go hand in hand, and that a good actor is likely to be a good model as well.
