About Me:
I am a married woman (for the second time) with a loving and family-oriented lifestyle. I have two grown-up sons and two grown-up stepchildren, whose ages range from 35 to 48. Additionally, I am blessed with two grandchildren—a boy and a girl—and two step-granddaughters, with ages ranging from just 4 months to 25 years. Family is incredibly important to us, and we cherish every moment we can spend together. We also have a 13-year-old rescue cat named Charles, whom we adopted when he was just six months old from the local pet protection canter.
During my first marriage, I was involved in the family fruit and vegetable wholesale business. I occasionally went to Birmingham wholesale market in the early mornings to buy salad produce, and I have even driven a fully laden lorry and made deliveries to customers at local markets and shops. However, my primary role was handling the accounts. When I remarried, I had to leave that business and transitioned to working in the construction industry, taking up a full-time accounts role in a completely different yet fascinating environment. Unfortunately, the company went into administration, and we were all made redundant.
Fortunately, two colleagues I had worked with started their own businesses and asked me to help with their accounts. That was 14 years ago, and I am still working for them today. Now I work part-time, mostly on Mondays and Wednesdays, as a self-employed professional with flexible hours. Being an early riser, a habit I likely developed during my wholesale market days, I find it suits my schedule well. While I am old enough to retire, I genuinely enjoy my work. It keeps me engaged, provides great banter, and helps me stay updated with modern technology, including computers.
I consider myself young at heart with a good sense of humour, but I am admittedly particular about punctuality—I cannot stand tardiness and would always rather be early than late. Though I’ve never been involved in modelling or anything related, I am open to new experiences and challenges.
