About Me:
I am a 52-year-old mother of 2 adults (a girl aged 22 and a boy aged 19). My day job is as Headteacher of a small village primary school in Leicestershire.
In my spare time, I enjoy live music, festivals and theatre. I am also an avid reader and enjoy reading many different genres from horror through to romance and everything in between. I am a big fan of the 5o’s from the fashion through to the cars and hope to one day own my own ‘hot rod’ classic car.
When I turned 40, I decided I wanted to learn a new skill so I took a burlesque dance workshop. I love how empowering burlesque is as an art form. During lockdown, I attended zoom classes with a professional burlesque dancer from Paris. I am also reigniting my love of pole dancing and attending weekly classes at my local studio.
I enjoy travelling and have been lucky enough to travel to many beautiful countries and have some amazing experiences. I have white water rafted in Australia, taken a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, played the piano from Big in New York and rode a camel in the Sahara Desert to name but a few.
My school’s vision is ‘Let your light shine’ and this is something I aim to do every day. It is about celebrating our individuality and uniqueness as well as being there for others when needed. I am hardworking, passionate, resilient and flexible. In addition to this, I am also reliable, friendly and have a slightly wicked sense of humour. I’m a firm believer in the power of humour.
