About Me:
I am a graduate with a B.A. (Hons) in Geopolitics and Philosophy and have a strong interest in psychology. My ex-wife is a Jungian analyst, and during lockdown, I delved into the works of psycho-neurologist Dr. Ian McGilchrist, Mark Vernon (a Christian minister and Jungian analyst), and the neo-Orthodox school of British free-thinking Christians, often referred to as ‘Christian Druids.’ I admire figures like Martin Shaw, alternative scientist Rupert Sheldrake, and former Archbishop Dr. Rowan Williams.

Art is my vocation, and my novel Indigo Nights has been the most challenging work I’ve ever undertaken. I’m inspired by contemporary British authors like David Nicholls and Ian McEwan, and I have a deep appreciation for Russian culture, particularly Soviet films like those of Tarkovsky and his contemporaries, as well as Italian art films from the 1960s and ’70s.

I’ve followed feminism since the 1970s, and I’m interested in contemporary gender issues. I spent four years in transition but ultimately returned to transvestitism, which nurtured my fascination with female costume. This journey has led me to admire figures like Gok Wan, who, though I identify as straight, inspired me to explore the alternative cultural world. Books like The Naked Civil Servant by Quentin Crisp and works by Oscar Wilde also resonate deeply with me. I was captivated by the BBC production Gentleman Jack, which is set close to where I live, and created a series of pastels and drawings based on it.

My mission, apart from earning a living as a part-time model and film/TV extra, is to continue exploring my feminine side while sustaining my livelihood as an artist. As an older, well-preserved male, I aim to help older women embrace their beauty, knowing they are often underrepresented in the fashion industry. Gok Wan is another hero of mine; his kindness, humor, and joy in helping women feel confident and beautiful are qualities I deeply admire.

To me, women are fellow artists. I see self-presentation not as narcissism but as a form of self-expression and validation. I want to contribute, even in a small way, to this celebration of identity. I love and revere women and strive to be part of their world, to learn from and simply be with them.
