About Me:
I was born in Germany to Italian parents and raised in Australia, so I’ve always had a beautiful blend of cultures shaping my worldview.
For years, I worked as an ICU Dietitian and manager, immersed in the high-stakes world of healthcare. But as time passed, I found myself yearning for something different—something that would allow me to reconnect with my creativity. So, after much reflection, I decided to take a career break. It wasn’t just about stepping away from the clinical world; it was about exploring a new chapter that was rooted in freedom, nature, and self expression – so I bought a Narrowboat.
Living on my boat has been a journey of simplicity and freedom. It’s just me, my Cockapoo Charlie, and the open waters. It’s a smaller space than I was used to, but there’s a peacefulness to it that I never expected. This new chapter has truly helped me embrace those things in ways I hadn’t imagined.”
One of the most fulfilling parts of this transition has been discovering eco-printing—a creative practice that allows me to transform locally foraged foliage into intricate designs on fabric. Living on the water, surrounded by nature, has given me the time and space to nurture this passion, and each print I create feels like a unique story from the land itself.”
Charlie, my ever-curious Cockapoo, is my constant companion on woodland walks. Together, we explore the forests near our boat.
I never realized how much I loved posing for the camera until my recent photoshoot. For someone who had spent most of her life behind the scenes, managing a team and focusing on others, I was surprised to find how much fun I had being in front of the lens. It was an unexpected moment of self-expression—stepping into the spotlight, even just for a moment. It made me realize how far I’ve come in embracing my own story, and how I’m learning to share it, not just through my work but through my presence and creativity as well.
Taking this leap has taught me that it’s never too late to start a new chapter. Sometimes, we need to give ourselves permission to step away from the familiar in order to find what truly makes us feel alive.
