About Me:
I am a single mum and I have two grown up children, one with special needs, the other at University. I live in Woking in Surrey, and work part time with Special needs Children at a school where I have been for thirteen years. This work is rewarding, but can be quite challenging at times . I am an adaptable, caring, cheerful and patient person who works well in a team or on my own, and takes direction well. Before this job I used to work with horses in London, taking out rides around Hyde Park.
My interests include going for walks, volunteering with the elderly, dancing, baking, learning languages and travel. My dream one day is to travel through Mexico, Central America and all the way down to the bottom of Tierra Del Fuego in South America. I recently went away to Nicaragua, in Central America over Christmas and New Year, and loved every minute of it, exploring different places enjoying the sunshine and even being able to practise some of my Spanish. Another language that I have tried out is British Sign Language which is a very visual language, and I am pleased that it has become a recognised language that soon will be taught in schools.
