About Me:
I am a retired psychiatric nurse with 34 years of experience. I am organized, hardworking, and conscientious, with a keen attention to detail. I am both self-motivated and a team player, quick to learn new skills, and have developed a great resource of skills through my career and personal life experiences.
During my career, I developed and published training programs for dialectical skills and behavior management. A highlight of my career was receiving a lifetime achievement award from the NHS for my contribution to services for individuals with mental health issues and learning disabilities. I am passionate about enhancing and optimizing the lives of others and find it both challenging and rewarding.
In retirement, I have pursued new goals and opportunities. I enjoy traveling, exploring new places and cultures, meeting new people, and making connections. I love socializing, hosting parties, and attending concerts and festivals.
I am active and creative, enjoying activities such as hiking, wild swimming, gardening, and canal boating. Currently, I spend time volunteering and fundraising for various projects, including community gardens, church activities, and local coffee mornings.
I embrace life with enthusiasm and am determined to make it enjoyable for myself and others along the way.
