About Me:
I am originally from Catford in South London but now reside in Gillingham Kent which is about 55 minutes by train into London Victoria station. I currently work full time as a diary and in-box manager. I signed up to become a mature model as I want to expand my friendship circle, take on new challenges that will push me out of my comfort zone.
I have one son and one granddaughter, who live in Norwich and all three of us share an interest in fashion and design.
I love travelling to America and Barbados. My dream would be to retire to Barbados and live by the beach so that I could swim and walk every morning and not have to feel the cold ever again. – Dreams do sometimes come true. I enjoy cruising and have been to South America, India and the Caribbean.
Next to traveling I make my own clothes. I love the excitement of selecting a pattern and the fabric. Seeing it through from start to finish. Then wearing it to a party and no one else has the same dress on as me.
I was a volunteer for the 2012 London Olympics and at the 2022 Commonwealth Game in Birmingham.
I am adventurous and my Samonites and I have had many a single holiday together. We would never be seen together on a camping site. You would more than likely find us at the Ritz Carlton in San Juan Puerto Rico, or a cruise ship out of Dubai. Alternatively, after an eventful day at the beach in Barbados the best way to finish the day is with a chilled glass of Mount Gay Rum (never with ice or a mixer) watching the sun slowly sinking into the ocean.
I enjoy window shopping where I am creating ideas in my head. I have always said if I had known differently when I was looking for my first job at 17, I would have taken a career in fashion and design.
With fashion I have a natural flair for understanding colour and what accessories to match with each other. I can feel a piece of fabric and know how it will drape. I can see couture from a distance even before I have seen how it has been made. Designer labels or not first impressions count, being well presented is key to any success and always remember to have clean shoes.
