Hi, my name is Gary Bartlett and I am a medical doctor and professional snowboarder competing in elite level snowboarding ‘#snowboardingdoctor’.
I studied medicine at University; I trained to be a general practitioner and fully qualified as an NHS GP in August 2015. I was selected from national trials to the Great British Snowboard Team in July 2015. During the winter season, I am largely based out in Tirol, Austria where I train and compete for Great Britain in Snowboardcross. My ultimate aim and focus are to represent Great Britain at the next Winter Olympics.
I would describe myself as highly focused, determined, ambitious, adaptable and able to take on feedback and constructive criticism. I thoroughly enjoy a good challenge and in search of the next adventure.
My major interests include sports, fitness, lifestyle medicine and health and nutrition.
